PITCHFEST RULES


HR Tech Startup Pitchfest

We are proud to announce the 1st Annual HR Tech Startup Pitchfest this year in Las Vegas.

Pitchfest Schedule and Format

Preliminary Rounds: Pitchfest Theater, Exhibit Hall, Booth #1540

Tuesday, September 11 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, September 12 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. and 3 - 4 p.m.

In each round, ten participating companies will have three minutes to present, then two minutes to answer questions from the judges.

Of the ten companies presenting in each preliminary round, two from each round will be selected to go on to the Pitchfest final!


Final Round: Pitchfest Theater, Exhibit Hall, Booth #1540

Thursday, September 13 10 - 11 a.m.

Each of the six companies in the final round will have five minutes to present and two to three minutes to answer questions from the judges.

Judging

A unique panel of judges will be seated for each round, including the final round. Judges are selected from a broad range of backgrounds in HR technology. Judges’ input will be limited to questions asked of the participants and any comments made after each presentation.

Audience Participation

Each round will include audience voting. The audience vote will count for 30 percent of a participant’s final score and the judges’ votes will count for 70 percent of the final score. The total score earned by each company will determine which six companies will advance to the finals.

Competition Prize Package

One winner will be selected during the final round and will go on to present in a conference session that afternoon — The Next Great HR Tech Company. They will also receive exhibit space at the 2019 HR Technology conference.

HRT has partnered with Randstad Innovation Fund to offer a single $25,000 prize to the winner of the first annual competition, as well as a $5,000 diversity prize.

Who can apply for Pitchfest?

Any exhibiting HR Technology Conference startup can submit an application for participation in the Pitchfest, whether your idea is at the concept stage, is being piloted or if your company is already operating. We’re seeking innovative products and services from startups worldwide. All participants have an equal chance of winning.

How will the Pitchfest participants be selected?

All submissions will be reviewed by a panel made up of representatives from the HR Technology Conference and Human Resource Executive® Magazine. The panel will select 30 companies to participate in the Pitchfest preliminary rounds.

Notification of Selection:
No later than August 10, 2018

If your idea is selected, you will be assigned to a preliminary round. Notifications of which round you will be participating in will be sent by Sharon Staehle at LRP. Please note: All travel and related expenses for participation in the Pitchfest are the responsibility of the participating companies.
